Yes, right-click and choose Insert > Variable.
The normal date is {Date} but there are other formats as well.
Other than the date options, the rest of the variables will be filled from the recipient’s contact details, if you have a contact for them.

I guess you could do this using a script in an eMC mail template.
I do this with a Spanish language utility that is not available in English with the keystroke (#d) to give for today: jueves 15 junio 2023 :: 0915hrs (UTC -0500)
The display content can be edited and takes day/date/ time from the OS
