Try the suggested post from @Gary below on this subject via “Menu / Accounts”.

thanks for your help tried that but no good didn’t disable anti virus though will have to get someone in who knows more than me.thanks once again.

no problem i was wondering if we could be friends and from the united kindom

I am intermittently having the same problem since the upgrade. Try:

Port 587
Force usage of SSL/TLS

Check: Server requires authentication and Use identity credentials.

Same problem here. Mailserver is Dovecot and Postfix and has no changes since a long time. The problem persist since upgrade to version 10 for all accounts.

Maybe the “KI” can help the programmers to fix it shortly?
Grrr…

The server log says:
connect from unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Aug 5 07:18:47 servername postfix/smtpd[10740]: connect from unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Aug 5 07:18:47 sername postfix/smtpd[10740]: lost connection after UNKNOWN from unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

Why “unknown”? I would expect a hostname here?

I add a comparison of the Emclient Log entries for SMTP connections under version 9 and under V10:

Here I can see a difference directly on how the client reports:

V9:
SMTP C: EHLO [{CLIENT IPv4}]
{CLIENT IPv4} = for example 192.168.100.101

V10:
SMTP C: EHLO [IPv6:::ffff:{CLIENT IPv4}]
{CLIENT IPv4} = for example 192.168.100.202

Both clients are configured to IPV4 on the network. IPV6 is not active at all.

I don’t understand what the IPV6 (!) Prefix does here?
