Authentication Failed for IMAP? Cannot get Email...

This is all I am getting. Even after, I removed and re installed this. I have confirmed that my server is good, also I am using Microsoft security essentials.

I have not been able to get emails for 2 weeks now… I am about to remove and use another client.

Hello, the authentication failed error can’t be resolved by uninstalling the application, authentication failed means the application has failed authenticating with your server using the provided credentials. This can mean the credentials are not correct or some other application may be blocking the connection between the client and the server.

What mail service are you using with eM Client? Can you please make sure you’re able to authenticate with the server using the provided credentials in Tools > Accounts > Your problematic account?
