I’ve been using EM client for a few years now, and since last Thursday, it keeps saying Authentication failed, enter username and password. I’m with Bigpond, and the password and email is definitely correct! What can I do? I can use webmail to access emails, but my Xero accounting package is linked to EM client so I can’t send invoices.
Could possibly be the mail settings have changed.
Go to “Menu / Accounts” and update what your Incoming and Outgoing POP or IMAP “server address, server port and security policy” are.
Also click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations”. Then click the “Log tab” and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread. Blank out anything personal.

As mentioned in my previous post, to see what POP or IMAP settings you have go to “Menu / Accounts” and click on your Bigpond account on the left and you will see either a POP or IMAP tab along the top.
Click on whichever tab you have and update in this thread what you see in the “Server address, Server Port and Security policy”.
Also as mentioned previously go to “Show Operations” in the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click on the “Log Tab” and “look for any obvious error messages” and paste them in this thread. So only the obvious error messages. You don’t need the complete log. Blank out anything personal in the log errors.
