Attachments encryption

Hi,

I’ve set up eM Client to use with my Start SSL certificate. So far so good, e-mails are correctly signed and encrypted (for those contacts whose public keys I have).

However, I’ve got one question re attachments: when sending an encrypted e-mail, are attachments to that e-mail encrypted, too?

I know it looks like a trivial question but I’ve been unable to find an answer despite googling for a while.

Thanks to whoever takes some time to clarify this doubt of mine.

the whole message, including the attachment, is encrypted by default.

thanks for your quick support.

What do you mean exactly by “by default”? Is there a way I might have inadvertently disabled the encryption of attachments? Or is it just sufficient to click on the small lock icon to enable encryption for both message body and any attachments?

Hi Giovanni,
I just added the ‘by default’ to point out that eM Client does this without you changing anything, there is no separate settings for it in our application.
If you click the lock icon, your whole message with all its data and attachments will be encrypted.
