Suddenly em client crashes when I attempt to add an attachment to an email. What may be causing this?

we will need more information about the issue. Can you please paste here the complete error text, specify when did it happen so we can try to find it in our sent bug list or try to describe how did it happen in more detail (does it happen always at the same conditions) ?

When I clicked on attachment, a dialog box with an explorer window opened for me to choose the file. Then the program crashed. There was no error message. I replicated this several times. It just started happening and I have no idea why. I had done nothing new or unusual that I can attribute it to.
