Att.net email never ending 'refresh'

I am new to this forum, so please advise if I’m posting my question incorrectly.

I am using the latest eM Client Version 9.2.1735 (3d90379) on Windows 10 with two email accounts… one from aol dot com and one from att dot net

My aol account syncs promptly but my att email account seems to never complete the sync… Refresh keeps “spinning”.

Is this a problem on the att.net side or some setting on the eM Client side? (I changed my IMAP settings to sync only one week after initially having this set for ALL TIME and eM Client CRASHED saying "eM Client is not responding… close program.)

After restarting eM Client (following the crash), I see that eM Client will complete the sync if I select any option except “All Time” (such as 1 year). So is the issue causing eM Client to never completely sync perhaps that i have more really old mail in my att email account than eM Client can handle?

I installed eM Client about 3 weeks ago and due to a separate intermittent problem (eM Client will intermittently refuse to launch), I uninstalled and reinstalled the same latest version today.

Regards,
Fred

After restarting eM Client (following the crash), I see that eM Client will complete the sync if I select any option except “All Time” (such as 1 year

You could then possibly have a eg: very old dated email in that att mailbox that might be corrupted so then never completes the sync as gets stuck on it. That could explain why it only happens when you select “All Time”.

Have you been able to completely sync this mail account with other mail clients in the past ?

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, other imap clients (such as Spark) seem to fully sync with my att.net account, even if configured for ‘all time’. But I suspect you are right… there is some old mail causing the issue. For now, I will just configure eM Client to sync one year… and when I have time, I’ll login directly to the att mail server and delete any really old email I no longer need.
