I am unable to enter into eM client to change the account setting for the new joined colleague as there is an “application startup password” set by an ex-colleague. The colleague can no longer be contacted. Could you please advise on how to deactivate the password?
Hi Grace, unfortunately the master password can not be reset, however you can setup a new database for the application which will allow you to create a new account or the same account again.
To do so, please navigate to your local folder > App Data > Roaming, and rename or delete the eM Client folder.
When you initialize the application, eM Client should automatically create a new database allowing you to setup the account.
