I wondered if there were any plans to support the native REST APIs for Google Workspace rather than only supporting POP/IMAP? My company is moving from Exchange to Google but have blocked IMAP access. On my mobile, I can use Nine as it uses the REST APIs for google, but on Windows, I’m limited to really only using the gmail browser experience, which even for a browser client is terrible.
It has many restrictions and is not recommended.
The developers themselves say: “Note: The Gmail API shouldn’t be used to replace IMAP for developing a full-fledged email client. Instead, see IMAP, POP, and SMTP.”
Maybe ask your company to enable IMAP.
Thanks @Gary . Yes, I wish they’d just enable IMAP, but they’re choosing to block it Actually, just doing some more reading on the mobile stuff, and it looks like it’s actually using EAS behind the scenes. So, next question, is it possible to use EAS? If I try and configure and exchange account, emClient seems to want to assume it’s using EWS. Is EAS an option?
