Antispam control

We just need it.
The explanation that it is better to leave this issue to the server operator, because it has better ai or neural mechanisms is simply unacceptable. I want to be able to filter my messages myself. If you can not implement it, maybe some plugin could do that?

That explanation is correct, as to write an AI spam neural type engine “as good as major providers such as eg: Google or Microsoft” would be seriously expensive and take along time.

If you can not implement it, maybe some plugin could do that?.

So if your mailbox provider doesn’t have any antispam engine or isn’t very good, you can setup rules in eM Client via “Menu / Rules” to filter unwanted messages in your Inbox.

Also you can setup blacklists to block senders or domains and prevent unwanted mail from going in your Inbox. eM Client V10 also now supports some server side whitelists depending on your specific server via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / Mail / Blacklists and Whitelists”.

Apart from that, some eM Client users use external Spam Filtering from companies such as eg: MailWasher for Windows or Spamsieve for Mac.

There is also a Sleekplan request below to support eg: external “Spam Blocklists” like SpamHaus that might suit you if implemented which you can vote for below.

You can also submit your own Sleekplan suggestion for others to vote on if you want as well.

After years of using The BAT! I’m really used to spam plugins like antispamsniper - antispam based on Bayesian statistics. It worked perfectly and it was fully configurable. Thunderbird also has an adaptive auto-learning antispam filter.

Why would eMclient, which claims to be much better than other email clients - do not have similar mechanisms? Well, is it better then, or isn’t it?

Thanks for the idea related to sleekplan! Cheers.
