After searching, the email list remains at some random position and requires scrolling all the way back up (Home button doesn’t work for that, only scrollbar works). The position in the email list may be several 100s emails down from top email.
Expected behavior: after closing a search window by clicking the red X top-right, list should reposition to the top email (today).
Suggestions:
- Automatically go to top of list (most recent emails)
- Provide a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl+Home or Ctrl+PgUp to go back to top

If i search for emails via the search field at the top in eg: V10, i get a list of messages appear and “the first email is always highlighted” at the top and not a random email down the list as in the example screenshot below. Not sure why yours is highlighting a random email position in the list.
If i then manually scroll down and highlight / select any email i can then press the “Home” key Pc or Mac or Fn + Left key Mac (if no Home key)" and it automatically does go to the top of the list.
So suggest to try uninstall eM Client and if you have Windows “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then reinstall eM Client either from the release history page or from the Windows store “depending on where you originally installed it from” and see if that fixes it. As could have been an installation problem.
