An email server was detected, but your credentials were rejected

Facing an issue with login credentials while setting up my office email profile on the EM client. It appears a pop up dialogue box says, " An email server was detected, however your credentials were rejected."
When I tried to log in with the same credentials in Webmail or other mail clients, it worked fine!
But the issue persists on Em client only. Is it familiar to anyone?
Request to solve it at earliest.

What mail server are you trying to connect to ?.
What Incoming and outgoing mail server settings do you use with other clients ?.
What version of eM Client are you using ?
Also are you using Windows or Mac ?
