I often create a calendar entry to get all of the bits correct then duplicate that event to have the same event on a different date. Currently to do this I need to get into my google calendar. This should be simple to enable.
You can duplicate a calendar event either on the current day or another day and then change the event information on the duplicate event.
To duplicate a calendar event on the same day, “right click on the event” and then click “copy to folder” and select “choose folder” at the bottom.
Then “click on your same account calendar” and click ok. You will then see the duplicate event on the same day. Then “dbl-click the duplicate event” to change the date and/or anything else you need change.
If you want to move the duplicated event to a different date, “you can also just drag the event” to the day you want, apart from dbl-clicking the event to change the date as in the previous paragraph.
Also there is shortcut keys. If you have a calendar event “that you want to duplicate to other day or days”, you can also “first click on the event” and then hold down either the “Ctrl, Command or Option” keys depending on your keyboard setup and then “just drag it to whatever date you want”. The dragged duplicated event will say eg: Copy of. Then “dbl-click the duplicated dragged event to rename it”
Not intuitively obvious but exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
