Receiving message “Alert - web login required” when using gmail with IMAP settings = “Use identity credentials” for both SMTP and IMAP. Please advise!
I have tried every possible solution I can imagine, with differing settings. All settings are correct as far as I can tell.
I originally stopped using eM Client because of this problem. I’m now trying it again, but with the same result.
Have you tried Diagnostics tab in the account settings? There you can fix it if diagnostics went unsuccessfully.

u need to unlock ur account. after u type ur user name / password/ u need to exit the email client and restart it. boom!
