After update all downloaded emails show the sender and subject, but the text area is completly empty (white screen).

Returned from holiday this week and when I started windows 10 and emclient, there was a update available. After update it downloaded all my mails from the last 4 weeks. Now many of these mails I received only show the name of sender and subject, but the text (message) area is completly empty. Also the newer mails I got today, have the same problem. Only the spam mor newsletters with images are are shown, but not the normal written emails.

Any idea?

Hi Randy,
sorry for the late reply, could you please share more information about your issue?
Which version are you currently running?
What emails accounts does this happen on?
Does this happen only to specific senders, perhaps?

Regards,
Olivia

Hi Olivia,

It’s version 6.024144.0. I only got one account and every email, that should have text is empty and only white screen. Only a few exceptions show images, but no written text. Very strange and not connected to specific senders.

Regards,

Randy

Hi Randy,
what kind of account is this? Gmail/Outlook/yahoo/other? Is it set up as IMAP/POP/Exchange?

Regards,
Olivia

It’s set as a pop account and it’s a Dutch internet provider Ziggo.

Below is an image how most of my downloaden emails look that only contain written text. It only shows the sender and receiver and the rest is missing.

I downloaded Thunderbird and this automatically sets the account. It works fine and shows all the emails. When I checked the account setting, the only difference is the selected servers, at is set to IMAP and not POP.

I made a new account with emule and then it also automatically sets it to IMAP and not POP, as with the other account. This didn’t solve the problem, send some emails to my account from work email account and gmail, but problem still their.

Randy

Hi Randy,
Please update to the latest version of eM Client (Help>Check for updates) and if the problem isn’t solved, could you export this email into an EML file and send it to [email protected] with a link to this forum topic so I can get back to you?

Regards,
Olivia
