Adobe Acrobat won't recognize eM Client as default

When trying to send an email from inside Acrobat the program gives an “… unable to connect to your email program” message.
Prior post seem to indicate that sending from inside programs was addressed years ago.

in the first place please open Control Panel and check if eM Client has all its defaults.

I have the same problem.  eM Client is set as default program, but Acrobat givses same message again. Is there any other way how to fix it?

Hi, what exact version number of eM Client are you currently using on your computer? You can find this information in Help > About.
Also, do you have both .NET 2 and .NET 4 framework installed on your computer?

I have installed:

  • .NET compact framework ver. 2.0.5239
  • .NET framework ver. 4.5.50938
  • eM client ver. 6.0.20617.0
  • Adobe Acrobat ver. 9.0.0

Still does not work.

still persists.

I found that there could by problem with MAPI, but I am not an expert :slight_smile:

I also tried to install latest Adobe Reader ver. 11.xx and it works fine.

But I am mainly use Acrobat not Reader :frowning:


Hi again Cyril, unfortunately if this feature works with another application, I’m afraid this is an issue of Acrobat not eM Client.
I suggest contacting Adobe support in order to resolve this issue.

Anyway Acrobat works fine with Outlook or Thunderbird, that is strange.
