Lost the previous program due to HDD failure. Reinstalled on a new machine.
Would like to add (import) the contacts from my backup but have not been able to find a way.
Suggestions?

if you have an eM Client back up, restoring from it should get you back all your data, including contacts. Is there a problem with your restore?
Alternatively, if you saved your contacts separately csv or vsf files you can import them from it.

I used Acronis Tru Image 2016 to make a image of the entire disk. I presumed the contacts would be stored in a file in the eMclient folder. Would you expect them to be there, and if so, where do I look?

Hi Stephen,
to avoid any possible data loss, I recommend using the eM Client’s own backup function next time. Contacts and other data are not stored automatically in separate files if you do not export them, they are in a single database for easier use.
Other than that, to get to your old database you need to go to C:\Users\ YOUR_LOCAL_USER \AppData\Roaming\eM Client and copy it to your new Storage folder (set in Tools > Settings > General > Storage).
