Is there an older eMClient version, which can be registered on XP?

Is there an older eMClient version, which can be registered on XP?

No, because the license activation will not work. Please read the link I posted above.

Ok, so XP users have to switch to another client…

Yes. This was announced some years ago.

We have created a compatibility version for XP which allows the connection, but please be aware that this version will not be updated in the future. Please send us a message to [email protected] if you are interested in this version.

To be honest, you really aught to move away from XP - it’s old now and full of security flaws that will never be fixed. Carry on at your own risk!

Yes, and this is why eM Client no longer supports license activation on XP - because of an outdated security policy.

Hi Gary,
Did you see my post higher up?
I don’t know whether or not they will make that version available at this time for individual users…

Yes I did. Will be interesting to see if they are still offering it. Doesn’t make sense to me that they make this announcement that they will not be supporting license activation on XP, then a year or so later they offer to make it available again on a special release version.

Either there is a security issue or there isn’t, and if this special release is not affected by the security problem, why is that code not implemented in all versions of eM Client?
