I have a strange situation where I am able to successfully create online meetings, using my Zoom or Webex accounts but people who I have invited get a bounce when they Accept or Decline. It appears the response was trying to go to [email protected] which of course is not a real address. The invite email also says the Organizer for the invite is [email protected].
How do I go about making the organizer’s email address the same as the account I sent the invite from?
I fgured out the issue. Because my CalDAV account’s username is not an email address AND the calendar was added as its own account, there was no email address to reply to. What I discovered is this:
If I set up my email account manually and then add a separate CalDAV calendar as another account, that CalDAV account has no email address to be replied to, and users who were invited find that their replies to Accept the invite are tryin to be emailed to [email protected] (an address that eM Client created to indicate there is no associated address).
But if I add an account using Automatic Setup and I enter the email settings (IMAP and SMTP) and the CalDAV settings (including its correct non-email username), everything works since the calendar and email are seen by EM Client as being associated with each other, and the event invites go out with my email account’s identity as the reply address for when they click Accept.
Glad this worked out. Persistence prevails once again and an office of 20 will be very happy.
