5.1.0 authentication error

User of eMClient for years. Performed the recent upgrade and suddenly I can only intermittently send emails (only receive). The account settings seem to keep changing under the SMTP tab. I frequently get an error message of “5.1.0 authentication error”.

Settings are:
Port 587
Force usage of SSL/TLS

Checked Server requires authentication and Use identity credentials.

Those settings worked for the moment.

Is there a bug or do I now have it fixed?
