2FA on mobile device

Hi all!

I’m using the iOS version of eM Client and added an Exchange account.

Initially, everything worked fine after importing via QR code – the account synced and email/calendar showed up.

But after the first re-authentication (2FA via Authenticator, then trust prompt), the account shows a red icon and is marked as “offline”.

Re-authenticating works, but the account never comes back online.

This happens every time I try – even if I remove and re-import the account.

On the desktop version, the same account works flawlessly.

That’s why I suspect a conditional access policy or mobile device policy that somehow blocks the iOS version of eM Client after first use.

Has anyone encountered this issue or found a workaround?
