Why is the program connecting to 168.62.48.183 and other ips?

Hi,

I’ve just downloaded the free version as I was looking for an Outlook alternative and so far I really like it. But what I do not like, even hate, is that the program connects to 168.62.48.183, 207.242.93.86, 31.13.84.8 or 31.13.72.33 at least once at startup.

What’s that about? What kind of information is transferred? You can understand that using a PIM with a lot of sensitive information, I do not want to send my data to some strange servers.

And I considered purchasing this client… :frowning:

eM Client always connects to our licensing server in order to check the license used for its activation. Then it may connect to the Weather service server and to Facebook if you have enabled the option “Download contacts’s avatr from Facebook automatically”.
