why does the search feature miss some emails?!??!?

when I use the feature to search the emails often some messages to the same address are not show. For example I sent 3 email to somebody, the program show me only 2. I find the third scrolling downe manually the entire list of sent messages.

does this happen with an IMAP account?
If so, please go to Menu>Tools>Accounts.
Under the IMAP tab check the option to Download messages for offline use.

my IMAP account does have "Download messages for offline use" checked. but there are still missing emails from search. i know this because i was looking for a specific email and it wasn’t in the search. i look on my phone and it’s still there. but em Client doesn’t pick it up as well as others.
