Why do emails that I try to send go in the 'unread' box instead of being sent?

Whenever I compose an email and click ‘send’, the email disappears for a while, and then reappears in the ‘unread’ box. How do I make the emails actually send?

Hi, have you checked your “Sent” folder also? Emails are put into “Unread” in smart folders when you are composing your message and it should disappear after send.

So if you are still having this issue and your email keep staying in unread box, please enable “Local Folder” in General section under settings and look if you are having red number near “Outbox” and with this information tell me also your email account provider and exact eM client version.
