Why do Beta versions of Version 10 not automatically update?

Just a quick question wondering why the beta does not update automatically nor is there an indication of beta updates when specifically selecting updates through the menu?

It seems that if you want to locate the newest update it needs to be done in the support page.

Beta versions are not offered through check for update because they are not meant for every one. They are for testing only. If you want to install a beta and test it, you will need to do so manually from the Release History.

That’s fine.

As long as I am aware that is the process.

Thanks for the answer, Gary

So, it looks like someone has been reading our feedback

I saw an upgrade notice on Beta 10 the other day and promptly downloaded the new version.

This is an important thing to do. Most people, instinctively, forget to check the support site for the newest versions, and when they do, those versions were released weeks prior.

I sent a crash report to the developers only to find out that there was a newer version of the software posted.

So, I am hoping that the developers will continue to integrate alerts in the beta release when a new version is available.

The beta testing is over. The new version isn’t a beta but a full release. If your license supports 10, you will be offered an upgrade.

hello

just had a look, there is no update available for me
Can I simply download and install the new version?

Updates are not pushed to all users at the same time.

Yes, if your license supports version 10, you can download it manually from the Release History.
