Why am I Receiving "Unnamed Attachments"

When I receive an attachment with an email, such as a word document, I sometimes but not always get a second attachment that looks like the Chrome icon, that says “unnamed attachment”. What is this and how can I get rid of it?

Hi, are you having this issue with all received attachment or maybe from just some people etc.?
Could you please export one of those messages by drag and dropping it onto a new email, into .eml file and send one of those messages to my email [email protected]

Thank you,
Paul.

I just switched to eM Client from Outlook 2007 because Outlook failed to deal with long (> 64 chars) filenames. As I understand it, this arises because Outlook 2007 implements MIME decoding to RFC-2047 whereas the newer RFC-2231 standard is required. It looks like eM Client has the same problem - it renames these attachments to “Unnamed Attachment” which makes them tricky to deal with if you don’t know the file type. Am I correct and is there any fix please?

With thanks,
Jon
