I am in need of a procedure to follow for sending attachment such as photos.

during writing your new mail (menu File->New->Mail) click on attachment button from the toolstrip (or press Alt+A). In open file dialog select files you want to send as attachments either by using shift or ctrl key for multiple file selection or using attachment button for each photo. Or you can archive/zip your photos to one file and then attach this file as I instructed you.
