What is EmClient LAV splitter?

I have eM Client LAV Splitter showing up in my Taskbar notification area.I don’t remember seeing it before the latest update.There is nothing in the help files either.Is this a new feature? What does it do?

Hi Sue, I’m not completely sure what you’re referring to, can you maybe make a screenshot of the Splitter you have in mind?
What version of eM Client are you currently using?

I’m running the latest free version 6.0.21040.0

Hi Sue,
this seems to be caused by an audio (DirectShow) codec for sound playing and it is possible that while eM Client is playing notification sound, the codec is activated and thus is displayed in this notification area setting.
However the codec is not related to eM Client in anyway.
