I’ve connected to gMail (google apps) and am using IMAP. I see a long list of items in the agenda from old emails. Why are they showing up there and how can I remove them. I’m using version 6.0.22344.0.
Those are most likely to be emails that you have “flagged”. They show up in the Agenda. To remove them, unflag the messages. You can order your inbox by clicking on the flag column (at the top) and flagged messages will be at the top. You can then click the flags to remove.

Hello, hope the answer above has helped you, if you’re referring to the agenda in your sidebar, you can also select which items will be displayed in the agenda, by clicking on the settings icon next to the agenda tab in sidebar.
