View exported EMDF file without eM Client application

I have exported a EMDF of my email account from a old PC having eM Client application. Now I am looking to view this EMDF file on a computer which does not have eM Client application installed. Guide me how can I view this file in absence of eM Client email application.

As far as I’m aware you carn’t as is a custom written data file and not compatible with other external standalone message viewers. If that not current someone will update this thread.

So “if you want to view the .emdf messages without eM Client”, you will need to first reinstall eM Client and then skip the account setup and go to “Menu / Data files” and “mount the .emdf data file”.

Then once mounted, either "export the data file messages via “Menu / File / Export” and select .eml message files and follow the wizard to save those data file messages on your harddisk, or manually create a mail account folder on your eg: desktop and drag the messages a group at a time within each folder to your desktop mail folder.

You can then open those messages “outside of eM Client in any external eml viewer”, and can then also be re-imported or dragged back into eM Client or any other mail client later if you want.

EMDF file cannot be opened on a computer that does not have the eM Client application installed.

Manually, the only option is to import the EMDF file into any system where eM Client is available (friend/office PC). From there, you can export your emails to common formats like EML or MBOX, which can be viewed on any device without the software.

If you don’t have access to eM Client at all, you can use a dedicated tool such as the 4n6 eM Client Converter, which works as an EMDF viewer as well. Just load the EMDF file into the software, preview your emails, and export them to readable formats like PDF, EML, HTML, or PST. This gives you full access to your email data without needing to install eM Client.
