Hi,
I have problem with Contact in eMClient 9.0.1708 (Windows x64). Contact are very slow (4 seconds for open or close contact). Browsing in contacts, open contact, close contact is very very slow. I have image for every contact. I had this problem in eMClient v8 too. I have iCloud mail and there can be bigger images for contact.

I cannot replicate that problem. I suspect that’s some hardware related computer speed issue.

HW is OK. I have Intel Xeon 3,5Ghz, SSD and 32GB ram.
I have 561 contacts and every contact has etc. 117 kb. I try i in other computer with my iCloud mail account and I have the same problem.

Over 1000 contacts
So I guess it must be the way you have your system configured as @cyberzork
suggests or connection speed to iCloud.
What speed do you have?
My average speed over last 25 days is 926.96 Mbps with highest 933.77Mbps

Do you have 100 contacts and every contact have 120 kb image? There is no problem with connection and HW. Contacts are downloaded for offline use.

No I do not have 100 contacts, I have in excess of 1000 contacts.
Perhaps the size of the images you have has something to do with
your issue at 120kb each they are excessively large.
I have checked a sample selection of the avatar image size that I have,
they are all UNDER 25kb
Check my avatar here it is 3kb and that of @cyberdork is 16kb
As a reference check this image of the interior of my car it is 71kb about 50kb less than you are using

@skybat yes I agree maybe the image contact sizes @DeletedXXX has could be the issue with them taking rnd 4secs to open. Yes 120kb is very large and sounds like they need reducing in size.
My own contact images are all under 25kb too and I have at least 500 contacts.
