I did an upgrade on my windows PC and I now have 2 eM clients in the tool bar the original v9 and the new v10? The other odd thing is v10 version has missing read folders and old ones which I deleted years ago there also the coloured tabs are missing in the email list. Unless I can find a fix will have to stick with v9 . Is it safe to uninstall the V10 or will the original v9 go with it??
Sounds like a default option is not enabled.
Can you do a screenshot of where the “read folders” and also the “coloured tabs” used to be as an example.
The issue appears to be you have ver 9 from Microsoft Store installed, and ver 10 installed from the eM Client website. They are different databases. So will display differently.
Also the Red tags are more than likely "Local (Non Server based tags), so are not synced with the server. They will be in ver 9 database only, and won’t show when ver 10 syncs from the server.
So to move from the MS Store version to the eM Client website version, first make a backup in MS Store eM Client app via "Menu / Backup, and then once backed up, uninstall that MS Store version.
Your MS Store eM Client backup.zip file will then be in your “Documents / eM Client” folder.
Then Restore the V9 MS Store backup in the eM Client website version 10 via “Menu / File / Restore”, and it will then bring back the V9 Local tags across and missing read folders etc.

me too: upgraded this morning and emclient won’t work at all anymore.
I upgraded this morning and mine wasn’t working until I disabled categories. I assume it was using a bunch of power to sort old emails into a category.
go to Settings → Mail → Categories → uncheck the categories check box save and close.
Mine has been working better than ever now.
It worked, uninstalled the MS version of v9 eM client after doing a back up. In the website version v10 did menu/file/restore and eM client is back to how it was in the v9. Thanks once again:)
