Use tag color for text background

One feature that I have used in Apple Mail was to color the background of the text to categorize my emails (urgent, reply, remember, etc..).

I know that eM can color the text with the tag color, but I think it would be nice to provide the option to color the background instead of the text.

Simple to implement, useful and colorful.

You can “change the background colour behind the text for eg: unread email” in released V10.x release as per @gary posts below.

This is planned for the upcoming version 10 through Theme editing. You will be able to change both the text and/or background colours of unread messages to make them more visible. So you can be creative for example with backgrounds like this: [image] Or something more subtle like this: [image]

Coincido. Creo que es algo muy importante a tener en cuenta en próximas versiones. Los colores son algo primitivo que logra una visualización rápida y clara cuando se maneja mucho volumen de e-mails. Colorear el texto está bien, pero deberían dejar colorear el fondo principalmente porque es lo que más llama la atención.
