Updating a calendar meeting that was created by someone else?

Sometimes I want to add notes to a calendar invitation I have already accepted that was created by someone else. The calendar invite appears to be locked and I can’t add anything. Is there a workaround for this?

Because you are not the organizer of the event, you cannot change it.

Bummer. I like adding notes to a meeting as things I want to make sure to discuss. I’m able to do that with other calendars. Thanks!
