I have tried 3 times to update eM Client but the updates have all failed with the error message in the attached pic . Received an unexptected EndOfFile or 0 bytes from the transport stream??
Looks like some sort of possible eg: Net framework error. Check that you have the latest Windows 10 V1909 and have done all the latest updates. There is new framework updates recently.
Also try manually downloading the latest Em Client V7 release update from the following page & see if you still get the same. update errors https://www.emclient.com/release-history
Before you install the new one, click Menu / File / Backup & make a backup. Then close Em Client & uninstall your current version.
Note:- Part way through the uninstall it will ask if you want to delete your existing mail database. Choose (not to delete).
Then finally install the latest V7 one and reboot windows. Hopefully that will fix it.
Coincidentally I tried an update for the fourth time.
It seems to have worked.
I now have eM Client v 7.2.37929.0. Not sure if this is the latest.
Yes the Ver 7 you have is a recent update as of Tuesday, February 11, 2020
