update issue

Hi again Steven, after my last reply I’ve discussed this issue with the developers and I was notified that this issue might occur after installing an MSI that has been renamed.
Can you please follow these instructions http://www.sassafras.com/hrl/7.1/tns/tn3689.html that should hopefully help to resolve the issue for future updates.

Hi Paul,

Personally I would like eM Client to give me an option where to save an update, before downloading and running the update.

In this case, I will always have the latest official installation in the directory I choose.
