In Thunderbird it is possible to unsubscribe IMAP folders. In particular I don’t want the OUTBOX folder showing at all not even hidden in a “More” folder.
Would it be possible to include this feature in future so that I can work with a clean GUI?

Hello Mike,
this is not currently possible.
I can mark this thread as an idea so our developers can reconsider this option.

Olivia
This feature would be very helpfull! Especially since the em client throws permanently errors while syncing special folders:
14:11:20 Mail Account [IMAP] Synchronizing messages: For folder Mail Account/Other Users
14:11:21 Mail Account [IMAP] MailClient.Protocols.Imap.FolderOpenException: Cannot open folder “Mail Account/Other Users/”. (Mailbox does not exist)
14:11:21 at MailClient.Protocols.Imap.ConnectionPoolEntry.SelectFolder(Folder value, Boolean force)
14:11:21 at MailClient.Protocols.Imap.ConnectionPool.AcquireConnection(Folder mailFolder, Boolean idle, Boolean forStore)
14:11:21 at MailClient.Protocols.Imap.ConnectionContext…ctor(ImapAccount account, Folder folder, Boolean forStore)
14:11:21 at MailClient.Protocols.Imap.Synchronizer.FolderInfo.CreateConnectionContext()
14:11:21 at MailClient.Protocols.Imap.Synchronizer.SynchronizeMessagesCommand.ExecuteInternal(WorkerStatus status)
14:11:21 Mail Account [IMAP] Synchronizing messages: Done
This is a basic feature for an IMAP client. A shame it’s still, at version 7, not provided.
Sometimes you don’t need all the available folders on the server.
