This morning my eM Client has decided that it is going to notify me every few seconds for every email message in my account. The messages are already downloaded and I do not show any unread messages yet I am receiving these notifications. It is only affecting my Hotmail account from what I can see.
I am very sorry for this late answer, since I seemed to have overlooked your post when other users showed up with similar issues.
Is your Hotmail set up as a POP account? Do you check your messages from any other device?
It is setup as IMAP and I do check my email from other devices. It eventually stopped.
iMAP protocols should not cause this, but we lately experienced this issue with other Hotmail users as well. We’ll continue looking for a possible cause of (and solution to) this problem.
