unknown error occurred during import of Ootlook pst

I cannot import data from Outlook pst file. The process begins but then gives unknown error message. OUtlook is on another machine. Both run win 7. Please help. Have tried everything I can find on your help site.

we officially do not support import of PST files from a network location. Try to copy the pst file to your computer and import it again.

Yes, we copied the file to our netbook, where eM is, and got the error message I mentioned. We did not try to do this through a network. Tried several times with the same result. Thanks for any help you can give.
