Unable to download mails

Since two days I was unable to receive or send mails. In the register appears the following message:

System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (10061) error indicates that "No connection could be made.

So as your Gmail IMAP account suddenly stopped connecting with that error and you haven’t changed any settings, then first make sure you can login ok to Gmail webmail online. If you carn’t login to webmail then contact Google tech support.

If you can login ok to your Gmail online via your browser, then go to “Menu / Accounts” and click your Gmail account on the left and then click the IMAP tab at the top and dblcheck you have the correct Server address Port and Security policy.

Next if you have the correct IMAP server details, then if you have any eg: optionally installed firewall / security programs, or optionally installed antivirus programs, or vpns “other than what comes default with your OS”, then try completely disabling those to test incase of interference.

Now if you have no optionally installed programs like that installed or you do, but disabling made no difference, then next try powering off your computer and modem / router for eg: 2 mins and then power all back on and try again.

If that makes no difference, then go in eM Client back to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and readd your Gmail IMAP account using the “Add account” automatic account wizard at the top as per the following eM Client Google Workspace website link and then see if that fixes it.

“eM Client with Google Workspace”

https://www.emclient.com/em-with-google-workspace

Note: Before removing and readding your account, make a manual backup via “Menu / Backup” incase you need to restore for any reason. You can see when the backup is complete in Show Operations via the dropdown on the right of Refresh top left.

cyberzork: THANKS A LOT !!!:
After I disabled the Avast antivirus (using the option “for 10 minutes”), EmailClient worked perfectly, downloading all the mails that it could not have been downloades previously.
I verified that an Avast’s program (Email Guardian) was deactivated the mail addresses that I have in Emailclient and I had to “verified” they are of my own.
After that, EmailClient worked perfectly !!!
Thanks again !!!
