Unable to create folder @gmail.com/Trash/" on the server. ([ALREADYEXISTS] Duplicate folder name (Failure))

10:39:08 AM @gmail.com [IMAP]  MailExceptions.OperationException: Unable to create folder “[email protected]/Trash/” on the server. ([ALREADYEXISTS] Duplicate folder name (Failure))

I have tried all of the previous suggestions and still get the error. Any other ideas?

Hi Bruce, can you please make a screenshot of the error? Can you try to right click your account in the left pane and select Properties > Repair, and click on the “Repair” button?
This should hopefully resynchronize your folder list getting you rid of this error.

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Have tried the repair multiple times. Have tried to find the extra trash file, but not there. There are to accounts and and the 2 trash files get the appropriate trash.
The only other trash is the IMAP trash folder and looking at the properties for both accounts, the IMAP trash only says trash, while IMAP sent and others lists the gmail account name.

Hi Bruce, did you perform a folder repair or did you do the account repair, this may be a difference while resolving this issue.
Can you please make a screenshot of your subfolder tree in eM Client?

Thank you,
Paul.

I did both.

Hi again Bruce, can you please try to remove the account from eM Client ([email protected]) and re-add the account, this should definitely get you rid of this error.

Hope this helps,
Paul.
