Unable to access new email after opening it the first time

Once I have opened a new email the first time I am unable to open it again after closing the email via clicking on it with the mouse. I can open by selecting the email following it and then using the up arrow to access the new email. This is on a PC with Windows 10. Any ideas on the solution? Thanks.

If you are dblclicking that email to open it and then dblclick it again and it doesn’t open, that sounds like mouse button related to me. I would try adjusting you mouse button click speed or try another mouse.
