Un-check "Inbox" in "Categorize" menu - where does mail go?

Afternoon all,

I was just trying to un-check “Important” on a new email that had arrived, and I mis-aimed and unchecked “Inbox” instead. The mail instantly disappeared, and I can’t find it anywhere? Where did it go? Is it floating in cyberspace, stuck between the realms? Can I get it back?

if it’s a gmail account, look in the “All Mail” folder.
