trying to set up 2 emails .. one will set up smtp and the other will not ...

i am setting up a new laptop … I have entered all the information like my desk top but for some reason the smtp is not showing under one of the emails … also will not let me “send” from that email address

Go to menu/tools/accounts and select the account with the SMTP problem.  If there is an SMTP tab, make sure the info is correct.  If there is not an SMTP tab, I don’t think you can add that service to an existing account, so you may have to delete the account and set it up again.

hi … thank you for your quick response … I have tried several times … I have this email set up on a desk top and it has the smtp tab …

got it … just had to set up manually … thanks much :>)
