Trouble logging in to eMClient

When logging in to eMClient keep getting error report that it didn’t shut down properly the last time , and then it tells me that it is trying to create a read only database. After several attempts to get around this it usually clears and my email shows up.

Hi Don, can you please make a screenshot of the issue? Are there any errors shown from the application?
What version of eM Client are you currently using?
