I was going to query the fact that the trash folder only shoews items deleted over the last 2 weeks. I right clicked to see if there was anything I could do, but as a very inexperienced user couldn’t so exited. Now the folder is completely empty.
How do I get everything back?
Unfortunately Trash is one of those things that once it has been emptied, there is no way to get it back.
There are reasons why it is emptied, and those can be because of either the server, settings in eM Client, or another device.
eM Client has a setting in Menu > Settings > General > Empty Trash on exit. If that is enabled, the Trash will be irreversibly emptied every time you close the application.
Your server may have settings to specify the retention age of messages in the Trash, or like some of the free providers it may just delete those items older than x days.
It could also be because of another device, like a phone or other application that has settings to automatically empty the trash.
