time zone difference. iOS 7

I’m facing this issue:

eM imported all my icloud appointments 1 hour off. (they show 1 hour before they appear in icloud).
I checked the time zone settings, and it’s the same for all the stuff I’m using: time zone in computer is Central Standard Time (Costa Rica). Time zone in icloud is Central Standard Time.
Also, I joined a Gmail calendar, also in Central Standard Time, and that one does show the correct times.
Is there a way to correct the time zone in eM Client?

Thanks!

Hello,

do you by any chance has set summer savings time set differently on both iOS and PC with eM Client?

and what version (help - about) do you use, we had timezone issues in past versions and it should be okay with latest update.

regards
Jan

Hi John,

on PC, time settings is set to (UTC-06:00) Central America, it doesn’t have summer savings time option.

on iPhone, time zone is set to automatic, which selects UTC-06:00, and I don’t see an option for summer savings time. In Costa Rica (UTC-06:00) we don’t use time change.

version: 5.0.18661.0

Another interesting note: I deleted and reinstalled eM to see if that maybe helped, but it didn’t. Nevertheless, when first running I get a message that it found holidays for my region (US). In PC, the region is set to Costa Rica…

Reviewing things, I got this information from an event, when I clicked “show as iCalendar”:

If I understand it correctly, eM is reading the event with a Daylight settings, that’s why it’s 1 hour off. However, as I stated before, we don’t have daylight settings in this time zone.

Also, if I create a new event in eM, and update it, it updates to the same hour in my iPhone… the problem is the other way around, when eM reads from iPhone, events are posted 1 hour earlier.

Hello,

in this case I will need one of these faulty events as .ics (right click on it in calendar - save as…) sent to [email protected] together with this topic’s URL

with regards
Jan
