I have the reading pane on the right. If I delete an email, the content of the reading pane remains! How can I prevent this?
When you delete an email the reading pane “will normally by default stay there” and automatically change to either the next “older email or newer email” depending on your Settings via “Menu / Settings / Mail / Read” near the bottom if you have V10.
If you don’t want the Preview pane to show at all after reading the email “so you have to dblclick the messages to open and view each one separately”, then go to “Menu / Settings / Appearance / Layout / Messages panel off and then Save and Close.
