After upgrading to the latest version of eM client. I have encountered a persistent problem. After minimising, it will not re-open from the task bar. In order to get out of that situation, I closed it using the red x from the task bar. When trying to reopen eM client, it gave a message that it had not been closed properly and so when iinto a error check script. The result of which was an instruction to contact you and a long message which started “System.Data.SQLiteException (0x80004005): database is locked”. This was followed by what appears to be a description of all the places that it is locked at (12 lines in all). I have tried to re-open it 3 times with the same result. Please help. There is a lot of important information, such as insurance claims links, contained in the file structure. This has all happened on my PC. I can currently still acces the file structure through my IPad but then can not open the Microsoft attachments.

you can try restarting your computer.
It is possible that some other apps had access to eM Client database(AV software etc.) and it caused this crash.
