Synchronizing distribution lists and categories seems not possible, at least if one use a CardDAV Server (Horde4) or outlook.com. Is that correct?
Hi Jörg, can you please comment on what devices (clients) are you trying to synchronize the distribution lists?
Are you synchronizing your eM Client with the server, your mobile device or another instance of eM client (on your second computer maybe)?

I tried both, synching between an em client and the server and between 2 em clients via the server. Seems that both servers (outlook.com and horde5.2) convert a distribution list to a simple contact file after upload.
Has anybody experience with using distribution lists and these servers?
Hi again Jörg, can you please export the faulty distribution list which appears on your second instance of eM Client after synchronization with the server?
Also, please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on CardDAV logging for the problematic account,
- Save the settings
- Restart the application
- Repair your contacts folder that contains the “distribution list”
to repair a contacts folder, right click on the folder in the left sidebar, select Properties > Repair and click on “Repair”.
If the issue persists please go back to the advanced settings window and click on “Send logs”.
Please send me the logs to email@example.com along with the exported distribution list in a .vcf format, and please include a reference link to this forum topic.
